Description

The project was developed by Eolien Maritime France and Skyborn Renewables France. EDF Renewables, Skyborn Renewables France, Enbridge and Canada Pension Plan Investment Board are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 35%, 30%, 17.9% and 17.1% respectively.

The wind turbines in the project are installed on fixed foundations. An array of gravity based foundations feature in the project.

The electricitiy generated from the plant has offsetted 2,000,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

The project is currently active. The project construction commenced in 2020 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in May 2024.

Contractors involved

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 71 units of SWT-7.0-154 turbines, each with 7MW nameplate capacity.

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy is the O&M contractor for the wind power project for a period of 15 years.
