Description

Abu Dhabi National Energy and Sembcorp Industries are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 60% and 40% respectively.

It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Distillate Fuel oil.

Development status

The project got commissioned in June 2004.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Emirates Water and Electricity under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years.
