The project is being developed by FPT Energia e Ambiente and Gestamp Biomass. The project is currently owned by Marguerite Fund with a stake of 90% and FPT Energia e Ambiente.
The project is expected to generate 120,000MWh electricity to offset 88.4t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.
The process of combustion will be adopted in this project to release the stored energy from the feed. Forest residue which is a kind of agricultural by-product will be used as a feedstock to power the project.
