Description

The project is being developed by IGE Group of Companies and YPIC International Energy Cooperation & Development. These companies also have ownership stakes in the project.

Gawlan is a run-of-river project. The net head of the project will be 175m. The total number of penstocks, pipes or long channels that carry water down from the hydroelectric reservoir to the turbines inside the actual power station, is expected to be 1 in number. The penstock length will be 40m. The penstock diameter will be 4m. The project is expected to generate 594 GWh of electricity.

The hydro power project consists of 2 turbines, each with 60MW nameplate capacity.

Development status
