Description
The project was developed by Guizhou Wujiang Hydropower Development. China Huadian and Guizhou Provincial Government are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 51% and 49% respectively.
Geliqiao is a reservoir based project. The hydro reservoir capacity is 72.56 million cubic meter. The penstock diameter is 6.9m. The project generated 508 GWh of electricity. The project cost is $197.21m.
The hydro power project consists of 2 turbines, each with 75MW nameplate capacity.
The project has 2 electric generators installed at the site. The generator capacity is 75 MVA.
Development status
The project construction commenced in 2007 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in 2009.
