Description
The project was developed by Acciona and Aveng. The project is currently owned by Acciona Energia Internacional with a stake of 54.9%.
The project generates 423,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 200,000 households, offsetting 406,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $300.564m.
The Concrete towers installed at the project site are 100m high.

The project is currently active. The project got commissioned in 2015.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Eskom Holdings SOC under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years.
Contractors involved
Acciona and Aveng were selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the wind power project.
Nordex was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 46 units of AW-100/3000 turbines, each with 3MW nameplate capacity.
