Description

The project is developed and owned by Abu Dhabi Future Energy and Rural Areas Electricity Co SAOC. The owners have 50% stake in the project respectively.

The project supplies enough clean energy to power 16,000 households, offsetting 110,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

The project has 85m high towers.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Oman Power and Water Procurement under a power purchase agreement for a period of 14 years, starting from 2019.

Contractors involved

TSK Electronica y Electricidad was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the wind power project.

GE Renewable Energy was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 13 units of GE 3.8-130 turbines, each with 3.8MW nameplate capacity.
