Description
The project was developed by Power Construction Corporation of China and is currently owned by Pakistan Power Park Management with a stake of 100%.
It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is regasified liquefied natural gas. In case of shortage of regasified liquefied natural gas the plant can also run on High Speed Diesel. The fuel is procured from Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited.
Development status
The project got commissioned in July 2017.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Central Power Purchasing Agency under a power purchase agreement for a period of 30 years.
