The project is being developed by Hale Kuawehi Solar and Paniolo Power. The project is currently owned by Hale Kuawehi Solar with a stake of 100%.
Hawaii Solar PV Project is a ground-mounted solar project which is planned over 300 acres.
The project is expected to generate 92,000MWh electricity and supply enough clean energy to power 15,000 households. The project cost is expected to be around $30.3m.

Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project will be sold to Hawaii Electric Light under a power purchase agreement. The power will be sold at the rate of $0.08kWh for a period of 25 years, starting from 2022. The capacity to be procured is 30MW.
