Description

The project was developed by BluEarth Renewables, C&B Alberta Solar Development and Canadian Solar. The project is currently owned by BluEarth Renewables with a stake of 100%.

Hays Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 174 acres.

The project generates 51,706MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 7,300 households.

8 inverters have been installed at the project site.

The project construction commenced in 2021 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in January 2022.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to FortisAlberta under a power purchase agreement. The power is sold at the rate of $0.036kWh for a period of 20 years. The contracted capacity is 23MW.

Canadian Solar was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.

Canadian Solar was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company installed 81,750 modules at the site.

Canadian Solar is the O&M contractor for the solar PV power project.
