Hong Phong 4 Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 58.1 hectares.
The project generates 92,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 46,040 households, offsetting 62,700t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $55m.
Development status
The project got commissioned in May 2019.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Vietnam Electricity under a power purchase agreement. The power is sold at the rate of $0.093kWh for a period of 20.00 years, starting from 2019.
Contractors involved
SunPower was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company provided 123,200 modules each with 390W of nameplate capacity.
SMA Solar Technology supplied 18 inverters to the project site.
The project is utilising horizontal single axis trackers supplied by IdeemaTec Deutschland.
