Description

The project was developed by Hornsea 1. Orsted, Equitix, Greencoat UK Wind, The Renewables Infrastructure Group, GLIL Infrastructure and Octopus Energy Group are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 50%, 14.8%, 12.5%, 10.2%, 6.25% and 6.25% respectively.

The wind turbines in the project are installed on fixed foundations. An array of monopile foundations feature in the project.

The project supplies enough clean energy to power 1,000,000 households.

Contractors involved

Orsted was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the wind power project.

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 174 units of SWT-7.0-154 turbines, each with 7MW nameplate capacity.
