Description

The project was developed by Houay Ho Power. Glow Energy Public, Electricite du Laos and WHA Industrial Development Public are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 67.25%, 20% and 12.75% respectively.

Houay Ho is a reservoir based project. The hydro reservoir capacity is 400 million cubic meter. The gross head of the project is 775.5m. The project generated 450 GWh of electricity.

The hydro power project consists of 1 turbine with 2.1MW nameplate capacity.

Electricite du Laos and Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand are the power offtakers from the project.

Contractors involved

Daewoo Engineering & Construction was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the hydro power project.

Andritz Hydro was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 2 units of francis turbines, each with 75MW nameplate capacity.

ABB supplied 2 electric generators for the project.
