Description

The project was developed by Aeolus Power, Chubu Electric Power Korat, KR 2 and RATCH Group. Aeolus Power, RATCH Group and JERA are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 75%, 20% and 5% respectively.

The project generates 219,300MWh electricity thereby offsetting 131,141t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Development status

The project is currently active. The project construction commenced in 2011 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in February 2013.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand under a power purchase agreement for a period of 25 years.

Contractors involved

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 45 units of SWT-2.3-101 turbines, each with 2.3MW nameplate capacity.

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy is the O&M contractor for the wind power project. The operation and maintenance contract commenced from 2013, for a period of 16 years.
