The project is currently owned by Shenzhen Energy Group with a stake of 100%.

It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant that is used for Peakload. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Oil.

The power generated from the project is sold to China Southern Power Grid under a power purchase agreement.

GE Power was selected as the turbine supplier for the Gas fired project. The company supplied 9001E Gas Turbine model gas turbines for the project.
