Description
The project was developed by Evergy Metro. Evergy, Kansas Electric Power Cooperative, Liberty Utilities (Canada) and Missouri Joint Municipal Electric Utility Commission are currently owning the project.
It is a Steam Turbine power plant. The fuel is procured from Powder River Basin.

Iatan Generating Station (Iatan Generating Station Unit II) is equipped with Toshiba Energy Systems and Solutions steam turbine. The phase consists of 1 steam turbine with 914MW nameplate capacity.
