Description
The project was developed by Furukawa Electric, Green Power Ishikari, Kajima, ORIX, Sumitomo Electric Industries and Thai Nippon Steel Engineering & Construction. The project is currently owned by Pattern Energy Group 2 with a stake of 100%.
The wind turbines in the project are installed on fixed foundations. An array of jacket foundations feature in the project.
The project supplies enough clean energy to power 83,000 households, offsetting 202,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Hokkaido Electric Power under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years. The contracted capacity is 112MW.

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 14 units of SG 8.0-167 DD turbines, each with 8MW nameplate capacity.
Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy is the O&M contractor for the wind power project for a period of 15 years.
