Description
The project is being developed by Palestine Power Generating. Palestine Investment Fund, Palestine Development and Investment and Palestine Electric Co Ltd PSC are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 40%, 20% and 5% respectively.
It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant. The power plant can run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant will be natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant will run on Diesel. The fuel will be procured from Gaza Marine Gas Field.

Development status
The project construction is expected to commence from 2016. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2025.
