Description
The project is developed and owned by Metro Power Co (Pvt).
The project generates 140,000MWh electricity thereby offsetting 100,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $131m.

Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to National Transmission & Despatch under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years.
Contractors involved
Descon Engineering was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the wind power project.
Nordex was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 20 units of N100 (2.5 MW) turbines, each with 2.5MW nameplate capacity.
Descon Engineering is the O&M contractor for the wind power project.
The wind power project consists of 80m high towers supplied by Descon Engineering.
