Description

The project is currently owned by Zhejiang Electric Power Industry Bureau with a stake of 100%.

Jinshuitan is a reservoir based project. The hydro reservoir capacity is 1,393 million cubic meter. The total number of penstocks, pipes or long channels that carry water down from the hydroelectric reservoir to the turbines inside the actual power station, are 6 in number. The penstock diameter is 4.5m. Jinshuitan underwent through rehabilitation & modernization during 2005-2023. The project generated 490 GWh of electricity.

The power generated from the project is sold to State Grid Corporation of China under a power purchase agreement.
