Description
The project was developed by Energia Sustentavel do Brasil. Engie, Companhia Hidro Eletrica do Sao Francisco, Eletrosul Centrais Eletricas and Mitsui are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 40%, 20%, 20% and 20% respectively.
Jirau is a reservoir based project. The gross head of the project is 30m.
The Jirau (Jirau Active Units) has 18 electric generators installed at the site. The generator capacity is 83.33 MVA.
