Description

The project was developed by AMP Solar Group, Evolution Solar and RAI Energy International. Voltalia and Kingdom Electricity are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 70% and 30% respectively.

Jordan Solar One PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 63.4 hectares.

The project generates 47GWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 15,000 households, offsetting 30,720t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Development status

The project got commissioned in September 2016.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to National Electric Power under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years.

Contractors involved

Voltalia Portugal was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.

Wuxi Suntech Power was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company installed 69,680 modules at the site.

The inverters were procured from ABB for the project.

The project is utilising horizontal single axis trackers supplied by IdeemaTec Deutschland.

Voltalia Portugal is the O&M contractor for the solar PV power project, commencing from the year 2016.
