Description

The project was developed by Japan Renewable Energy. The project is co-owned by Japan Renewable Energy and Sumitomo Mitsui Finance and Leasing, with their respective ownership stake of 50% each.

JRE Aso Takamori Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project.

The project generates 71,500MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 16,320 households, offsetting 26,190t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

The project construction commenced in 2019 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in May 2022.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Kyushu Electric Power under a power purchase agreement from 2022. The contracted capacity is 62.53MW.
