Description

The project is being developed by Japan Renewable Energy. Japan Renewable Energy and Sumitomo Mitsui Finance and Leasing are currently owning the project.

JRE Satsuma Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project.

The project is expected to generate 64,800MWh electricity and supply enough clean energy to power 14,740 households. The project is expected to offset 28,390t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

The solar power project consists of 136,000 modules.

Development status

The project construction is expected to commence from 2020. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2023.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project will be sold to Kyushu Electric Power under a power purchase agreement from 2022. The offtake capacity is expected to be 54MW.
