Karadzhalovo Solar Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 100 hectares.

The project generates 81,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 27,000 households, offsetting 48,600t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Development status

The project got commissioned in March 2012.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Natsionalna Elektricheska Kompania under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years from 2012. The contracted capacity is 50MW.

Contractors involved

SunEdison Spain Construction, SLU was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.

SunEdison was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company installed 214,000 modules at the site.

The inverters were procured from Bonfiglioli Riduttori for the project.

Enery Development, SunEdison and The First National Operation & Maintenance were contracted to render operations & maintenance services for the project.
