The project was developed by SCC Nigeria and is currently owned by Government of Nigeria.
Kashimbila is a run-of-river project. The hydro reservoir capacity is 500 million cubic meter. The gross head and net head of the project are 20.5m and 17.8m respectively. The project generated 210 GWh of electricity. The project cost is $65.758m.
