Description

The project was developed by Burmeister & Wain Scandinavian Contractor and Estover Energy. Burmeister & Wain Scandinavian Contractor, Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners KS and Estover Energy are currently owning the project.

The project supplies enough clean energy to power 50,000 households, offsetting 100,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

The process of combustion has been adopted in this combined heat and power (CHP) project to release the stored energy from the feed. Agricultural by-product and wood by-product are used as a feedstock to power the project.

Development status

The project construction commenced in 2016 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in September 2018.

Contractors involved

Burmeister & Wain Energy supplied steam boiler for the project. The boiler installed at the site has a capacity of 90TPH. The temperature witnessed inside the boiler is around 540°C. The steam is pressurized inside the boiler at 140bar.

Burmeister & Wain Scandinavian Contractor is the O&M contractor for the project for a period of 20 years.
