Description
The project is being developed and currently owned by Acwa Power. The company has a stake of 100%.
The project is expected to generate 1,000,000MWh electricity to offset 400,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is expected to be around $300m.
Development status
The project construction is expected to commence from 2022. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2023.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project will be sold to AzerEnerji under a power purchase agreement.
Contractors involved
