Kumamoto Yamaga Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 45 hectares.

The project generates 38GWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 12,000 households, offsetting 21,900t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $61.321m.

The power generated from the project is sold to Kyushu Electric Power under a power purchase agreement at the rate of $0.33kWh. The contracted capacity is 30MW.

Trina Solar was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company provided 125,280 modules each with 275W of nameplate capacity.
