Description
The project was developed by EDF Renewables and Electrica del Valle de Mexico. The project is currently owned by EDF Renewables with a stake of 100%.
The project generates 291,700MWh electricity thereby offsetting 156,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Wal-Mart de Mexico SAB de CV under a power purchase agreement for a period of 15 years, starting from 2010.
Contractors involved
Clipper Windpower was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 27 units of Liberty C89 turbines, each with 2.5MW nameplate capacity.
EDF Renewable Services is the O&M contractor for the wind power project, commencing from the year 2010.
