Lam TA Khong is a pumped storage project. The hydro reservoir capacity is 10.3 million cubic meter. The net head of the project is 360m. The total number of penstocks, pipes or long channels that carry water down from the hydroelectric reservoir to the turbines inside the actual power station, are 2 in number. The penstock length is 651m. The penstock diameter is 6m.

Lam TA Khong (Lam TA Khong Phase II) is equipped with Voith Hydro Holding pump turbines. The phase consists of 2 turbines with 250MW nameplate capacity.
GE Renewable Energy supplied 2 electric generators for the Lam TA Khong (Lam TA Khong Phase I). The generator capacity is 282 MVA.

About Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand
Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) is a state-owned power utility. It generates, procures, transmits and distributes electricity.
