Description
The project is being developed by Gaskraftwerk Leipheim and Lausitz Energie Bergbau. The project is currently owned by Lausitz Energie Bergbau with a stake of 100%.
It is a Gas Turbine power plant that will be used for Reserve. The power plant can run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant will be natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant will run on Light fuel Oil.
The project cost is expected to be around $674.592m.
Development status
The project construction is expected to commence from 2021. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by August 2023.

Siemens Energy will be the turbine supplier for thermal power project. The project consists of 2 units of SGT5-4000F turbines, each with 330MW nameplate capacity.
Siemens Energy is expected to be the supplier of SGen-2000P electric generator for the project.
