Description
The project was developed by AMDA energia, Lekela Power and Mainstream Renewable Power. Lekela Power, Revego Africa Energy, Thebe Investment and Futuregrowth Asset Management are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 40%, 15%, 10% and 5% respectively.
The project generates 563,500MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 161,300 households, offsetting 550,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

The project is currently active. The project construction commenced in 2015 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in December 2017.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Eskom Holdings SOC under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years. The contracted capacity is 140.3MW.
