Description

The project was developed by CLP Thailand Renewables, Diamond Generating Asia and Electricity Generating Public. Electricity Generating Public and CLP Holdings are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 66.7% and 33.3% respectively.

Lop Buri Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 0.216 km².

The project generates 105,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 73,000 households. The project cost is $70m.

Development status

The project got commissioned in March 2012.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Provincial Electricity Authority under a power purchase agreement for a period of 5 years, starting from 2012.

Contractors involved

Italian-Thai Development, Italthai Engineering and Sharp were selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.

Sharp was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company installed 640,000 modules at the site.

Sharp Solar Solution Asia is the O&M contractor for the solar PV power project, commencing from the year 2012.
