Los Escuderos Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is planned over 350 hectares.
The project is expected to generate 385,000MWh electricity and supply enough clean energy to power 120,000 households. The project is expected to offset 144,690t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is expected to be around $132.877m.
The solar power project consists of 342,000 modules.
Development status
The project construction is expected to commence from 2019. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2024.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project will be sold to Galp Energia SGPS under a power purchase agreement for a period of 12 years. The offtake capacity is expected to be 200MW.
