Magdalena 2 Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 439 hectares.

The project generates 640GWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 450,000 households, offsetting 350,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

The project construction commenced in 2018 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in November 2019.

Contractors involved

Soltec Energias Renovables was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company installed 550,000 modules at the site.

The project is utilising single axis trackers supplied by Soltec Energias Renovables.

Renewable Energy Systems Holdings is the O&M contractor for the solar PV power project, commencing from the year 2024.
