Description

The project was developed by E.T.A. Energie Tecnologie Ambiente. Foresight Energy Infrastructure Partners, JLEN Environmental Assets Group and Marcegaglia are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 45%, 45% and 10% respectively.

The project generates 126,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 35,500 households, offsetting 120,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

The process of combustion has been adopted in this combined heat and power (CHP) project to release the stored energy from the feed. Refuse which is a kind of municipal solid waste is used as a feedstock to power the project.

The project consists of 1 turbine with 16.8MW nameplate capacity.

The project got commissioned in 2012.
