Maple Hill Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is planned over 480 acres.
The project is expected to supply enough clean energy to power 18,000 households, to offset 100,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is expected to be around $150m.
Development status
The project construction is expected to commence from 2021. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by August 2023.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project will be sold to Hydro Cressona PA under a power purchase agreement from 2022. The offtake capacity is expected to be 48MW.
Contractors involved
Gemma Power Systems is expected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.
Talesun Solar Germany will be the supplier of the PV modules for the solar power project. The company is expected to provide 237,000 modules each with 530W of nameplate capacity.
