Maui Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is planned over 200 acres.
The project is expected to generate 45,000MWh electricity and supply enough clean energy to power 7,300 households. The project is expected to offset 530,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is expected to be around $15.15m.
The solar power project consists of 49,000 modules.
Development status
Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in April 2023.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project will be sold to Maui Electric under a power purchase agreement for a period of 25 years. The offtake capacity is expected to be 15MW.
