Description
The project was developed by WindMW. China Three Gorges, China Yangtze Power and Windland Energieerzeugungs are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 56%, 24% and 20% respectively.
The wind turbines in the Meerwind Phase I are installed on fixed foundations. An array of monopile foundations feature in the phase.

The project generates 1,000,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 360,000 households, offsetting 1,000,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.
