Description

The project is being developed by AR Energia Chile and Sonnedix Cox Energy Chile. Sonnedix and Cox Energy Chile are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 70% and 30% respectively.

Meseta de Los Andes Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is planned over 250 hectares.

The project is expected to generate 386,750MWh electricity and supply enough clean energy to power 180,000 households. The project is expected to offset 160,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is expected to be around $286.587m.

The solar power project consists of 440,000 modules.

Development status

The project construction is expected to commence from 2021. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2023.
