The project was developed by Chint Solar Nederland Projecten, Goldbeck Solar, Greencells and PowerField Nederland. The project is currently owned by Blue Elephant Energy with a stake of 100%.

Midden-Groningen Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 117 hectares.

The project supplies enough clean energy to power 32,000 households, offsetting 1,639,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Contractors involved

Goldbeck Solar was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.

Astroenergy was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company provided 315,000 modules each with 325W of nameplate capacity.

SMA Solar Technology supplied 28 inverters to the project site.

Goldbeck Solar is the O&M contractor for the solar PV power project.
