The project was developed by Midtfjellet Vindkraft. The project is currently owned by Aquila Capital Concepts with a stake of 25.9%, Fitjar Kraftlag and Ostfold Energi.

Midtfjellet (Midtfjellet I) is equipped with Nordex N90 (2.5 MW) turbines. The phase consists of 21 turbines with 2.5MW nameplate capacity.

Midtfjellet (Midtfjellet IIA) is equipped with Nordex N90 (2.5 MW) turbines. The phase consists of 13 turbines with 2.5MW nameplate capacity.

Midtfjellet (Midtfjellet IIB) is equipped with Nordex N100 (2.5 MW) turbines. The phase consists of 10 turbines with 2.5MW nameplate capacity.

Midtfjellet (Midtfjellet III) is equipped with Nordex N117/3600 turbines. The phase consists of 11 turbines with 3.6MW nameplate capacity.

Nordex is the O&M contractor for the wind power project. The operation and maintenance contract commenced from 2013, for a period of 5 years.
