Description
The project is developed and owned by China Sunergy and Energon Technologies. The owners have 50% stake in the project respectively.
Mongla Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 350 acres.
The electricitiy generated from the plant has offsetted 180,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Bangladesh Power Development Board under a power purchase agreement. The power is sold at the rate of $0.136kWh for a period of 20 years. The contracted capacity is 100MW.

LONGi Solar Technology was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company installed 250,000 modules at the site.
The inverters were procured from Sungrow Power Supply for the project.
