Description
The project is being developed by Envision Energy (Jiangsu) and SQ Trading and Engineering. Envision Energy (Jiangsu), Others and SQ Trading and Engineering are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 33.34%, 33.33% and 33.33% respectively.
The electricitiy generated from the plant will offset 110,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.
Development status
The project construction is expected to commence from 2025. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2026.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project will be sold to Bangladesh Power Development Board under a power purchase agreement. The power will be sold at the rate of $0.13kWh for a period of 20 years. The capacity to be procured is 55MW.
Contractors involved
Envision Energy will be the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company is expected to supply EN-171/4.5 model turbines for the project.
