The project is being developed and currently owned by Envision Energy (Jiangsu) and SQ Trading and Engineering. The owners have 50% stake in the project respectively.

The electricitiy generated from the plant will offset 110,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is expected to be around $96.597m.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project will be sold to Bangladesh Power Development Board under a power purchase agreement. The power will be sold at the rate of $0.13kWh for a period of 20 years. The capacity to be procured is 55MW.

Contractors involved

Envision Energy will be the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company is expected to supply EN-171/4.5 model turbines for the project.
