Description

The project was developed by Audax Renovables, Celebic and Enemalta. Malta Montenegro Wind Power JV and Enemalta are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 90% and 10% respectively.

The project generates 112GWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 15,000 households, offsetting 80,742t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

The project is currently active. The project got commissioned in November 2019.

Contractors involved

Shanghai Electric Power Engineering (Montenegro) was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the wind power project.

Envision Energy was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 23 turbines, each with 2MW nameplate capacity.
