Description
The project is being developed by GE Power, Symbion Power and Tanzania Electric Supply. The project is co-owned by Symbion Power and Tanzania Electric Supply, with their respective ownership stake of 50% each.
It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant.
The project cost is expected to be around $421.1m.
Development status
The project construction is expected to commence from 2024. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2025.
