Description

The project is developed and owned by Banpu Renewable Singapore and Impact Electrons Siam. Banpu Renewable Singapore has 55.8% stake in the project.

Mukawa Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 340,000 square meters.

The project generates 23,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 4,500 households, offsetting 12,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Development status

The project got commissioned in August 2018.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Hokkaido Electric Power under a power purchase agreement. The power is sold at the rate of $0.36kWh for a period of 20 years, starting from 2018. The contracted capacity is 17MW.

Contractors involved

Sharp Energy Solutions and Suntech Power Japan were selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.

Sharp Energy Solutions was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company installed 86,000 modules at the site.
