Description
The project is being developed and currently owned by Ministry of Electricity, Iraq. The company has a stake of 100%.
It is a Gas Turbine power plant. The power plant can run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant will be crude oil. In case of shortage of crude oil the plant will run on Natural Gas/Diesel.

Calik Enerji San Ve Tic and SKY Engineering are expected to render engineering procurement construction services for the oil fired power project.
GE Power will be the turbine supplier for thermal power project. The project consists of 6 units of PG9161E turbines, each with 125MW nameplate capacity.
