Description

The project was developed by Datang Yunnan Nalan Hydropower Development. Datang International Power Generation, Jinping Electric Power and Beijing Huake Electric Power Engineering Technology are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 51%, 35% and 14% respectively.

Nalan is a reservoir based project. The hydro reservoir capacity is 286 million cubic meter. The project generated 670 GWh of electricity.

Development status

The project construction commenced in 2002 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in 2005.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to China Southern Power Grid under a power purchase agreement.

Contractors involved

DEC Dongfang Electric Machinery was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 3 units of francis turbines, each with 50MW nameplate capacity.
